School Improvement

Our SEND and Inclusion school improvement expertise is brought to you by leaders in the field. Our knowledge and experience enables us to provide guidance, advice and support by working in collaboration with your organisation’s movers and shakers.

  • We do indeed! We have the skills, experience and expertise across the full age range – early years through to post 16. We also have a track record of working successfully in mainstream schools both large and small as well as in special schools and specialist provision. The latter is increasingly important as schools and multi academy trusts develop on-site inclusion bases and enhanced resource provision for which advice and guidance is often needed.

  • The following gives a flavour of the type of expertise available within the Associates team, remembering that this is not an exhaustive list.

    We will work with you to create a plan that is tailored to your context and which focuses on the outcomes to be achieved, timescales agreed and clear impact measures. This will guide the expertise needed from us to help you achieve your goals.

    By way of rough themes, the following areas of expertise available from our Associate Team may help you frame your SEND and inclusion journey:

    • SEND and inclusion review/audits and follow-up planning

    • Leadership development

    • Adaptive teaching and learning and high value classroom strategies

    • Preparation and / or response to inspection

    • Strategic CPD planning and capacity building

    • Mentoring for new-to role SENCOs and Inclusion Leaders

    • Coaching for SEND leaders and associated staff

    • Systems development including efficient use of data, provision mapping and management and impact monitoring

    • Deployment and impact of support staff

    • Preparation for the SEND reforms as they gather momentum

    Note – we will be developing a mediation offer aimed at helping leaders navigate communication with parents and others as the SEND reforms gather pace.
